I am getting BIG!

Graham is 6 weeks old now and weighing 10 1/2 pounds! He i sleeping about 4-5 hours between feedings during the night, which isn't too bad. He started smiling and cooing which is so fun! It makes my day to wake him up in the morning with a big crooked smile! He loves playing on the floor with his farm animal playmat. Everyday, he seems more alert and aware of the world around him. He is such a joy and Mike and I are loving being parents!

Happy Halloween

GRAHAM MICHAEL IS HERE!

On Wednesday, October 21 I was induced at approximately 12:00 Noon. All through the night I was on a low dose of Pitocin until my doctor broke my water at 5:21 in the morning. Things then progressed very quickly and by 8:30 I was ready to push! The nurse thought things would go very quickly, but she was WRONG! At 12:13 PM Graham Michael was born weighing 7 lbs, 21 inches long. He was absolutely perfect in every way! The recovery has been a slow process, but every day is getting better. Having Graham at home is amazing and Mike and I are loving every second of being parents. It is such a blessing to be a mom!

This is the week...

So as of yesterday, I am 39 weeks pregnant. My Dr.'s appointment last week went very well. Baby O gained approximately 11 ounces and is doing well. However, the Dr. said that if I don't naturally deliver before my next appointment, I should plan on going straight to the hospital to be induced. In the meantime, I have tried every "wives tale" to get this baby out on my own, none of which seem to be working. I have been having lots of contractions, but nothing that amount to anything! He must be very cozy in there! Anyways, we will finally get to meet our little guy this week! I am so excited and just a little nervous for the induction.

Full Term!

So we have reached "full term." I guess that means that baby is ready to be born any day now...We went to the Dr. last Friday for an ultrsound and the little guy is measuring a little small. The Dr. is going to keep a close eye on things, but it may mean that I will be induced before my due date! Either way, baby is coming soon!!! I go back on Wednesday for another checkup. I will keep you posted on any baby news.

36 weeks!

So as of yesterday, I am 36 weeks pregnant. The Summer went by so fast and now Fall seems to be here. Never before have I been excited for cool, windy weather, but this year, it just means that the arrival of the baby is near! I am already looking forward to cold night, nuzzled up on the couch with Mike and the baby watching movies (and probably lots of sports) and the snowfall! I have an ultrasound and Dr. appointment scheduled for Friday morning. I think they will be able to tell the approximate weight of the baby and confirm he is still in the "head down" position. I think that we are finally ready for the arrival of Baby O. The nursery is done, everything is put together, and I am packed for the hopsital! Now all we need is the baby...whenever he is ready to make his appearance. 4 weeks and counting...
